Characteristics Primitivo IGT of Manduria is a heavy, blunt red wine, an effect of the warm growing conditions in Southern Italy’s Apulia region. It is made from the locally grown grape. It has its roots in the oldest of wine traditions. Experts claim that the Primitivo grape is originated in ancient Greece and been brought over by some of the first settlers of the Italian peninsula.
Wine pairings Mandù is a food-flexible wine, but pairs well with roast red meats, grills, pasta with ragu sauce, well-structured soups and game, mature cheeses.
